Regenerative agriculture
White Buffalo L和 Trust (WBLT) is directly addressing the climate, 生物多样性, 公共卫生, 和 food security challenges we face today through innovation of l和 stewardship 和 the redesign of food systems.
Regenerative agriculture is a system of farming principles 和 practices meant to increase 生物多样性, 丰富的土壤, 提高流域, 和 enhance ecosystem services. A key outcome is the drawdown of excess carbon from the air into the soil. With agriculture 和 forestry currently contributing nearly one quarter of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide, 更新的耕作方法 are more critical than ever.

Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute (HSWRI) is a non-profit scientific research organization that works to promote a healthier planet through the conservation 和 renewal of marine life. HSWRI’s team makes a significant effort to keep up with the rapidly changing world, providing innovative scientific solutions to challenges threatening ocean 和 marine health.
Sempra is supporting HSWRI’s Restorative Aquaculture Program, where 科学家们 are studying the environmental healing capacity of native ocean plants 和 animals. Scientists are learning how organisms can remove nutrients 和 matter from seawater 和 how they can work together synergistically. 通过这项工作, they hope to discover ways to mitigate human impacts on the ocean, promote sustainable seafood practices 和 boost climate resiliency.
Climate action drives real impact
